During the Nazi occupation I was one of the children in the orphanage at Ugniagesių St., (in Kaunas).
Other children there whom I knew were Fruma Vitkin (Kučinskienė) and the two daughters of Dr. Yed, who assisted my mother in delivering me when I was born.
At that time Stefanija Andriūniene Egan was the head of the orphanage where we were hiding.
